Who is Andrea Heiden and what makes her the best success coach for me?

Good question, glad you asked!  Hi, I’m Andrea.  For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about helping others live more satisfying and rewarding lives.  And now, as a success coach I am so excited to be doing what I love.  But, it hasn’t always been this way.

After almost 20 years of working as a teacher and a psychotherapist, I was ready for a change.  I had absolutely loved teaching “at risk” high school kids, making a difference, and helping many to turn their lives around.  But over the years, the program had changed with more students assigned to each teacher, more and more paperwork, and fewer supplies and resources.  That sense of fulfillment I had once felt was fading.

At the same time, my private marriage and family counseling practice, which had always been so rewarding, was suffering similar problems--problems with insurance companies, new government rules and regulations, and truckloads of paperwork.  I knew something needed to change! 

I wanted to combine everything I loved about being a teacher and therapist into a meaningful new career.  I wanted to use all the knowledge, skills and talents I had gained through my educational, professional, and personal experiences to motivate and support others in achieving their goals.  My educational and professional training has been:               

• B.A. degree in psychology from Whittier College
• M.S. degree in counseling from California State University at Fullerton
• California Elementary Teaching Credential
• California Marriage and Family Therapy License (now--inactive status)
• Community College Credential.
• Coach Training Alliance Coach Certification   

And there are my real life experiences, too.  I am the mother of three grown children—triplets.  And what I learned from that exciting and challenging experience certainly must count as a PhD of some kind!  It also fueled my passion for learning and sharing the best of what I discovered with others. 
     
That’s my story.  I became a success coach because I wanted to be able to combine all my life experience, educational background, and professional training into a career that let’s me enhance the lives of others.   I can’t think of anything I’d rather be doing!  What could be more rewarding and fulfilling!
